Ravenna harbour a model of excellence for sustainable, innovative and energetic development.

22/07/2024

The Port of Ravenna is experiencing an unprecedented transformation phase, with infrastructure works worth over a billion euros.

By 2026, the seabed will reach a depth of 14.5 metres, enhancing the port's operational capacity.

The renovation of the docks will be completed by the end of the month and new 200 hectare logistics areas will be ready by autumn.

At the same time, important interventions are underway on the road and railway infrastructures to improve connections and make the port even more competitive.

The objective is to make Ravenna a strategic hub in the Mediterranean, to connect major traffic between the East and Central Europe.

Other strategic projects include FSRU, with an investment of 1.2 billion euros, the Agnes wind farm, which has obtained authorizations for an investment of 1.8 billion, and the CO2 capture, storage and reuse plant.

Ravenna is thus positioned as a model of excellence for sustainable, innovative and energetic development.

This is the result of a synergistic collaboration between institutions and communities, which has outlined a sustainable, concrete and practicable development perspective.
