Saipem Leader in Energy Transition, Million-Dollar Contract in the UK

Saipem has been awarded a contract by Eni in the UK for the Liverpool Bay CCS project. The estimated value of the contract is approximately €520 million over the three years needed to complete the project.
The Liverpool Bay CCS project will serve the HyNet industrial hub, located in one of the UK’s most energy-intensive industrial districts.
Saipem will convert a traditional gas compression and processing plant at Point of Ayr, North Wales, into an innovative electric CO2 compressor station that will enable the permanent storage of CO2 in depleted offshore fields in Liverpool.
Saipem’s scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, construction and assistance in commissioning of a new electric CO2 compressor station. This new facility will be integrated with the offshore and onshore segments of the overall development.
