16/06/2025

Investments in the Italian startup ecosystem have increased from around 150 million euros in 2013 to over 1.1 billion in 2023.

The number of startups funded has increased from 726 in 2013 to almost 3,000 in 2023. 7 unicorns have been created and over 100 public actors have participated in financing the startup ecosystem in Italy. These are some of the numbers illustrated by the law and tax firm Fevers.

These data were presented during the event entitled “Exit strategy: a successful model for start-ups” organized by Associazione Civita, an organization that has been working for over 35 years in developing relationships between the business world and the world of culture, in collaboration with the Fevers studio. The event was an opportunity to analyze the world of start-ups in Italy, taking inspiration from the book by Andrea Battista, CEO of Net Insurance, “Exit strategy. Storia di una start-up dall’idea al successo” published by Luiss University Press.
