Motor Power Company has just invested 18 million euro for a new engine plant: the company doubles its bet on electric with a new plant in Reggio Emilia.
This small multinational family company in Reggio Emilia Italy announces the laying of the foundation stone of a new 11 thousand square meter greenfield site, at the forefront of technology and sustainability, not even 50 kilometers away. An investment of 18 million euros, for a company that has a turnover of 50 million (with 160 employees), and which, after the double-digit sales growth of recent years, needs new space to grow.
The construction site was recently inaugurated in the industrial area of ??Mancasale, between the Reggio Emilia A1 motorway exit, the Mediopadana AV station and the northern axis for Novellara.
The new facility will be ready in 2024, on the occasion of Motor Power Company's 35th birthday.
The company was in fact founded in 1989 by Stefano Grandi with the mission of designing and building motion control and mechatronic solutions, i.e. electric motors for industrial automation, from packaging to intralogistics, from textiles to biomedical up to ceramics: all key districts for Emilian manufacturing, customers of the group. Which accompanied the growth of the group at a global level (50% of the turnover is now represented by exports), pushed investments in innovation (research absorbs 5% of the turnover every year) and allowed the opening in 2007 of a factory also in Shanghai to oversee and serve the enormous Chinese market.
