Second FSRU LNG carrier purchased for Ravenna by Snam, BW Singapore, a storage and regasification vessel; built in 2015, it has a maximum storage capacity of about 170,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas and a nominal continuous regasification capacity of about 5 billion cubic meters a year, it can also operate as a tanker for the transport of liquefied natural gas;
the ship should start its activity in the Upper Adriatic during the third quarter of 2024 ensuring Italy the second new floating regasifier, which will be able to contribute decisively to the safety and energy diversification of the country, the two FSRUs purchased in the last month by Snam they will alone be able to contribute to 13% of the national gas requirement.
