Energy prices increase, record inflation and high interest rate

According to the latest estimates by Confindustria, the Italian economy is experiencing a slowdown: certainly this is due to the continuous energy price increase and also to the inflation which is now at record levels. With the rise of the interest rates as well as a lower liquidity due to energy price increase, the Italian companies highly risk to get into debts. While the manufacturing sector is currently maintaining its position, the construction sector is experiencing a sharp slowdown. Italian exports continue to register expansion so far, however the whole Eurozone appears weak, especially compared to the USA, where the rebound could be temporary.
